The education in the college and university is very expensive nowadays and many students have to apply for the student scholarships to pay for studying. There are thousands of scholarships and all of them have different requirements for the candidates and different conditions. There are many candidates which have a desire to win the scholarship, so those students who personalize themselves in the application forms increase their chances to become a winner. Majority of the recommendations concerning the successful application process are connected with the personalization, but the students still do not understand what it means. There are many examples of personalization: some students send their photographs with famous people to the committee, others send the cassettes with the tape recording of their singing or playing. There was a boy, which sent his photo after the winning in the fishing competition. One girl sent her photo in the bikini. There was also a boy who sent to the committee his winning ribbons and he also sent a request to send them back after application process. One candidate has also sent the Santa Claus hat together with his application form. Certainly, it is very interesting, but it does not make the application from notable.

Many students are interested why the personalization during the application process is so important. The committee which has a task to choose the winner has to look through the thousands of application forms each day and all applications are similar. So the question is how to choose the winner among many worthy candidates. The applications must be interesting, creative and inventive to be notable and to become chosen. So the students must try to give the committee as much information about them as possible and to show all positive sided, abilities and talents.

But in the same time the candidates do not have to overdo. If the candidate will find the golden mean, his chances to win will increase in several times.
