As the university studying is very expensive the students have to apply for the different types of financial aid. There are three main type of financial aid fro student: student scholarships, student loans and grants. The student scholarships are the most popular, as they do not have to be repaid after graduation. The majority of the students think that the scholarships can be awarded only to those students who have excellent academic grades, outstanding abilities, achievements in the sport or talents. In fact almost all students can receive the student scholarship. There are many different types of scholarships for students available each year depending on different criteria: race, location, major, citizenship, nationality, etc.

On of the most important criterion is the GPA score. There are also many other requirements for the candidates. Sometimes the students even receive several scholarships, as it is not forbidden to apply for several scholarship programs.

The main thing is to know where to search the scholarship offers. Majority of the student search them only on the scholarship websites and in the financial aid offices. But fortunately there are man y additional resources where to look for the scholarships. There are many scholarships which are not awarded to the students because nobody applies for them. Besides, the students think that there is a huge competition on some scholarships, so it makes no sense to apply for them. In fact each student can get the scholarship if he has a desire and make the efforts to achieve the aim.

One more thing the students have to pay attention on is the student credit cards. There are many types of them and each offer provides different terms and level of interest rate, so the students have to learn carefully and compare all offers.
