This article tells about the scholarship that was awarded to the students from the countries that are situated in the Asia-Pacific region. The participants possess excellent chance to discuss this theme with Japanese students throughout their stay. The program was founded by the Japan Airlines in 1975 as an opening to Japan for institution of higher education for the students who came from Asia Pacific region. Beginning from 1990 the JAL Foundation arranges the event that attracts worldwide attention.

The 36 participants are six students from China; another four from Korea; moreover three every from Australia and Indonesia. There are also students from many other countries.
